Graffiti Management

Graffiti is a crime, it is unsightly and detracts from the character of the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory Government has committed additional funding to the Darwin and Alice Springs Correctional Centres to increase community working parties from three each to seven over the next two years.  This will enhance the capacity of the working parties to assist in the clean up of public areas.

Northern Territory Police have also established a ‘graffiti database’, which enables all reports and incidents of graffiti to be collated in one spot, compared and investigated to assist in catching those responsible.

Anyone who sees graffiti in action should contact Police immediately on 131 444.
